How to Use the Calculator
- Select Your Gender: Choose Male or Female from the dropdown menu.
- Enter Your Details: Fill in your current age, weight in kilograms (kg), and height in centimeters (cm).
- Choose Activity Level: Select the option that best describes your weekly exercise routine. Be honest for an accurate result.
- Click “Calculate My Calories”: The tool will instantly show you your BMR and TDEE.
Understanding the Results
- BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate): Think of this as the calories your body would burn if you stayed in bed all day. It’s the energy required for basic functions like breathing, circulation, and cell production.
- TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure): This is a more practical number. It takes your BMR and adds the calories you burn from your daily activities (including exercise). This is the number of calories you need to eat per day to maintain your current weight.
